Jonelle & Gavin...beautiful wedding at Comlongon Castle

From the moment I met Gavin and Jonelle I knew that we would have great fun on their special day. With such a fun loving couple, great guests, a spectacular venue and lovely weather....I was right!

Jonelle had put so much planning into her day and looked gorgeous. She even made her own fabulous bouquet, asking different members of her family to give her a brooch. The finished bouquet looked amazing and each little donated piece meant so much to Jonelle! Jonelle's fab quiry shoes were by Kurt Geiger.

The guys and girls looked great and a vintage VW camper van enhanced their vintage inspired wedding. The reception venue looked great with peonies in silver buckets and moustaches on sticks for the guests to have fun with. Love the picture of Jonelle and Gav with their moustaches! Loved this wedding...thanks to you both for letting me be apart of your special day!!

Adam & Hannah...The Crown, Wetheral

Adam and Hannah are a great young couple from Carlisle. It was a pleasure to photograph them and their family as they were such nice people! It is always nice to photograph local people and that is how I get my wedding bookings as word of mouth spreads if you do a good job! The photographs started at Hannah's parent's home where the girls were enjoying champagne and a buffet made by Lynn, Hannah's mum. The atmosphere was relaxed and the sun was shining! Perfect wedding weather!

Hannah's flowers were from Vandella and her dress was from KoaKoa bride in Penrith. Hannah, her mum and her sister are very close and it was important for them to get some photograph before hand at the house.. Everyone cried when they saw Hannah who looked stunning...

Over at the Crown, the guys were waiting patiently for Hannah's arrival (7355) Happiness was so evident in this couple.. after the ceremony we went to the river for some photographs. Family and friends photographs were then taken back at the Crown.

Adam proposed to Hannah in Time Square so they wanted to incorporate this into the theme of their wedding reception..

Hannah wanted to see the brooch off her cake on the front of her wedding album so using that and some tiffany blue ribbon we customized her album for her. The cake was made by Gillian Marr from Wigton. We like to go the extra mile for our clients! Big congratulations to Hannah and Adam who returned to New York for their honeymoon!!

Nick & Gemma....wedding photoshoot

As a photographer one of the best jobs is when a couple tell you....You just choose some locations and take photographs of us there. Nick and Gemma were married in Vancouver earlier in the year. They returned to Carlisle (Gemma's hometown) for a big family party and so wanted some images as reminders of their special day there. Gemma and Nick are an arty cool couple. When they asked me to do this I asked them where shall we go, what do you like? They said nothing too pretty. We will leave it up to you just pick us up and we will be ready! I knew Nick liked an industrial gritty look. The day came and boy did it rain! However we weren't gonna let that stop us getting the shots! Here are a selection from the day. Gemma's parents who own a catering firm Pink Leaf Catering had transformed Scotby Hall to look like a first class wedding venue... Friends and family had a great night thanks to their brilliant food and everyone danced the night away to the music of John Penn.... What a great day!!

Comlongon weddings

Comlongon Castle is a very popular venue. Every time I go here I find new places to photograph. The gardens are vast and manicured and I enjoy working at this very popular venue. Here are a collection of some recent weddings I have photographed here...

Adam & Amy
Adam and Amy were married at Comlongon back in February and they arrived from Boston with 18 of their closest family and friends. The weather was cold but clear and this made for some great photographs inside and outside the castle.... We also had a visit from Harry Potter that day!

Mark & Carolyn
Mark and Carolyn were great fun to photograph. Very easy going and because I had opportunity to meet them a couple of times before the wedding, we knew each other when their big day came. They and their 40 guests travelled from Tunbridge Wells. Their day was fun and relaxed and the sun shone at Comlongon making for lovely bright vibrant photographs....
