Rael & Carrie marry at Anvil Hall

Rael and Carrie travelled up from Essex with their daughter Freya and some of their close family and friends to be married in the famous Gretna Green. The sun shined through the windows of the Ash Suite in Smiths Hotel where I started photographing the girls getting ready. The flowers from Flowers by Fiona were very pretty and looked great with Carrie's champagne pink dress that she had specially made for the day.

Meanwhile Rael and his best man enjoyed a drink at the bar...

Then it was on to Anvil Hall for the ceremony. I love this photograph of Carrie and her father in the car they had just pulled up outside the Hall and the time had come for Carrie to marry Rael...

Arron & Alexandra... I loved it!

I was super excited to be photographing Alex and Arron last week. We had met on a couple of occasions prior to their wedding and they always seemed very relaxed and full of fun. Their day certainly lived up to my expectations and it was relaxed and fun and they were so easy to photograph. We spent most of the day laughing as we photographed their very special day. Around 50 of their close friends and family had made the journey across the water from Ireland to see this great couple get married.

I started out in the Rose suite at Smiths Hotel, Gretna Green. I love this suite the light is always so good for portrait photographs. We started out with some fab photos of Alex getting ready... her flowers were the most amazing colours supplied by the fantastic Vandella flowers..

Alex and her daughter Ellie and the bridesmaids in their beautiful coloured dresses on the balcony of the Rose Suite.

Meanwhile Arron was getting himself ready while the best man joked and practiced their speeches..

Alex sets off in a beautiful silver Beauford from Silver Lady wedding cars she couldn't wait to marry Arron...

The happy couple and their bridal party cheering everyone was so lovely at this wedding!

Next stop was the beach the sun was shining and I loved photographing their romantic session here it was such good fun!

Kenny & Natalie ..Tie the knot in the pretty village of Wetheral

Wow what a wedding day this was! Over 300 people packed inside the magnificent church in Wetheral to see local restaurant owner Kenny Hogg marry Natalie Pollock. Onlookers were everywhere around the church as they watched this well known and very popular couple marry in their home village of Wetheral.

The weather was perfect as I arrived at Natalie's parent's house to start photographing the details.

Natalie chose a beautiful white Justin Alexander gown and Jimmy Choo shoes. Her amazing bridesmaids flowers were by Brenda at Gardenalia. The bride carried a full length stunning bouquet full of lime green and pink flowers which was very heavy and took many hours to design and make, see it on the slideshow!

The scene as we arrived all the girls in their PJs getting pampered, chatting and buzzing about the excitement that lay ahead...The girls hair was by Bobby and Andrea of Dadas in Carlisle.

Natalie was such good fun to work with always so happy and always willing to pose which for a photographer is fab news! A close up of the stunning headdress.

Natalie looking such a stunning bride....

Meanwhile at his restaurant Fantails Kenny and his ushers and best man were welcoming guests and having a few photographs taken...

Natalie and her father arriving at the church...

Guests wowed during the ceremony which featured an owl as the ring bearer flying to the front of the church and giving the couple their rings! (See the slideshow)

Once married family photographs were taken..Kenny, Natalie and their two daughters..

A stunning horse and antique carriage driven by Mr Bowman whisked Mr and Mrs Hogg on a romantic ride through the countryside where we stopped for a few romantic photographs...

The day then continued with family and friends enjoying a reception at the Shepherds Inn.

There are so many photographs I found it hard to choose so please watch their slideshow to see how the day unfolded...I'm sure you are having a fabulous time in the MALDIVES and look forward to seeing you on your return!

Phil & Nicola .....Auchen Castle wedding

Auchen Castle was the beautiful setting that Phil and Nicola chose for their special day. Nestling in the beautiful hills of the Borders the staff of Auchen Castle welcomed family and friends as they arrived to celebrate the marriage of these very lovely people. Although it was raining it didn't matter in the slightest to Nicola who looked so happy as she arrived to marry Phil.

I love this picture that Jesse took of the Phil's father reflecting...

The happy couple...

Guests enjoyed the falconry display where the birds swooped and circled in the impressive grounds of the castle, sometimes landing on the guests umbrellas! See this on the slideshow...

The impressive staircase at Auchen Castle was perfect for some group photographs.

It was great fun photographing your wedding and meeting some old school friends of mine who were guests at the wedding. Thanks for letting me capture your special day. Hope you are having a fab time on your honeymoon!
