Bruce & Louise... Spring has arrived!

It is great to incorporate the seasons into wedding photography.
This isn't always possible but if I can I will always look for something relevant to the time of year that the couple have chosen to marry. Bruce and Louise chose an intimate setting with just two of their closest friends witnessing their special day. Snowdrops were bursting out in the spring sun shine at Bruce and Louise's wedding at Comlongon Castle as their special day unfolded......

I felt like a stalker as I hid behind the bush to capture this one of them walking through the woods but I like the way it turned out!

What great news when someone calls and tells me,"Well it is only going to be the two of us at the wedding!" I just luurrvve it when that happens!! With no guests to worry about you can have real fun with the couple and take their photographs in a creative way. So this is Richard and Amy's beautiful wedding which I photographed at Comlongon Castle.

James & Abigail = The Perfect Match

Wow what a wedding on Saturday when I was privledged to photograph friends James and Abigail's wedding and what a great couple they are!

As a photographer you always strive to bring out the personality of a person and I had no trouble on Saturday with this couple who were very relaxed and at ease in front of the lense. I started out with photographs of Abigail getting ready. It was an early start with an 11am wedding to get to and five bridesmaids to get ready it was full on!



Make up artist Carol Galley was at hand to make sure all the girls looked gorgeous but she had great subjects anyway as these girls were naturally gorgeous! Carol is a true pro at what she does and this week is working on the set of Coronation street. Carol has relocated to Cumbria and great for all Cumbrian brides she is now available to hire out to do the make up for your wedding!

Abigail and her mother Helen putting the finishing touches to the veil. Abigails's flowers were by Derek and his team at Bloomsberry who did an amazing job on the brides bouquet which was a mixture of beautiful orchids and chrome wire twisted with turquoise ribbon that matched the colours of the bridesmaids dresses. Abigail's shoes were amazing!



After a last lipstick touch up in the fab Bentley Continental it was time to get wed!



James and his ushers who were great fun to work with...



The happy couple exchanging vows in Dalston Hall. I love the photograph of Abigail taken with my new Nikon 70-200 zoom lense (which I love) was taken shooting through the huge chandelier in the magnificent surroundings of the Great Hall.

After family photographs were taken we headed off to Ullswater for romantic photographs by the Lake it was freezing!!



We stopped outside Dalemain on the way back with the Bentley that is some car!



Then we met back with all the guests for some photographs at the reception Rheghed were the pictures took on a very modern look...





I know that you will have a great life together in Aberdeen I thoroughly enjoyed photographing your wedding you looked great together you laughed all day and looked so happy......you are absolutely the Perfect Match! Have a great honeymoon, Naomi x
