SUSAN & KEVIN ...WOW!

Every once in a while I get a wedding that makes me go wow! It is a combination of things that does this for me attention to detail, locations, personalities of the couple and the weather!
I felt WOW last Saturday when primary school teacher Susan married her man Kevin in the most pretty place Lochmaben. I love Lochmaben and I have always wanted to shoot a wedding so I was thrilled when Susan and Kevin decided that they wanted me to photograph their wedding in this amazing little Scottish town!
We started at the house which was buzzing with excitement. Susan's friends kept arriving in the most amazing hats and outfits, Susan's mum was dishing out smoked salmon delights and thanks to Susan's dad for moving furniture and making us tea!!
There are lots of beautiful photographs I show a selection of some of my favourites.....

I have been waiting for ages for a sunny day to create this vintage feel which is very en vogue at the moment you both look great in this photo!!

JAMES & ELAINE

James and Elaine live and work in Edinburgh. Last Friday they were married in James' home town of Annan with a group of their closest friends and family invited to see them be wed!

Elaine's family traveled over from Ireland ... I loved listening to those Irish accents! After the ceremony James and Elaine took a romantic coastal drive in a luxury classic car from Silver Lady Wedding Cars who always provide an excellent service!

Family photographs were taken in the grounds of Hetland Hall - we timed it just right before a thunderstorm set in and rain for the night but it didn't matter as the day had gone perfectly!

Hope you have a great time in Mexico, thanks for letting me be a part of your special day! CLICK HERE TO SEE A SLIDESHOW!

MARK & JOANNE

They love the Lakes... I mean really love the Lake District so it just seemed right that they should marry in this amazing place! Mark and Joanne met through a mountaineering group, some time later Mark proposed to Joanne on the summit of Keldas and the rest is history!
This Monday I had the pleasure of documenting their very special day in Patterdale. We started the photographs at Joanne's family holiday home in Glenridding. The house was buzzing when we arrived with lots of laughter, girls getting ready, and excitement! The views from the house were fantastic and with the weather being fab we started to shoot...
After the church ceremony at Patterdale we took lots of fun photographs with their wedding party who were always up for having a good time and I think this is reflected in their photographs.

The guys had all brought their shades, we couldn't not take this one..

With breathtaking scenery and beautiful grounds the Inn on the Lake is always a popular venue and perfect on sunny days for wedding photographs..The swans even pose there!

I hope that you have a wonderful honeymoon sailing around the Ionian Islands!

ALISTAIR & NICOLA

When I met Alistair and Nicola I knew that their big day would be a fabulous wedding to photograph, and I was right! They are great fun to be with and they were a pleasure to work with.
When I arrived at the Dryfesdale Country House Hotel in Lockerbie I photographed the bride Nicola and her younger sister Naomi and they both looked stunning thanks to makeup artist Laura Kerr of BLUSHA.

Nicola's colour scheme for the wedding was beautiful with cool greens and vibrant purples and amazing flower design by Flowers by Fiona. The function room also looked fab!

After the ceremony I photographed Nicola and Alistair and their black labrador Diesel at the beautiful St. Mungo's.

Then after the brilliant day all the guests returned to the reception and fun was had by all! I hope you are having a great honeymoon and your surprise destination chosen by your husband is everything you dreamed it would be! Can't wait to find out where you have been! DEREK & JENNY

Wow what a wedding! I can honestly say that I was blown away by the fantastic day I photographed on 4 July 2009 at the Roundthorn, Penrith of Derek and Jenny. Everything about this wedding was perfect Jenny's attention to detail was amazing she is one talented lady!! Jenny makes wedding cakes Lavender Cakes and so her own cake had to be fabulous and it certainly was!!

We started photographing Jenny as she got ready with her four bridesmaids...

Then the day went off perfectly the weather was great and what topped the day off for everyone was a flight formation of four spitfires that swirled and circled around the Roundthorn it was incredible to watch and we even got them in the photographs which was awesome!

Jenny loves country and western and in particular her cowgirl boots and stetson hat so we just had to use them as props in some of the romantic images that we took, she is sooo my kinda girl! I loved taking those shots!

We stayed for the first dance and then said our goodbyes, but nobody wanted the day to end.... I hope you have a fabulous time on your honeymoon and your wedding will certainly be one that I will never forget a real highlight of 2009!

ANDREW & SARAH

Just over ten years ago Andrew and Sarah met in Scarborough. Their love for each other grew and Andrew proposed so last Saturday one year to the date of their proposal on 27 June they were married! I love photographing weddings in the lake district it is just the best - with amazing scenery and fabulous locations. On Saturday we had a great time documenting the beautiful wedding of Andrew and Sarah at Cragwood near Windermere.

Sarah looked very classy as she emerged from one of the apartments at Pullwood Bay where she had been getting ready with her family.

As Sarah and her father arrived at the church they were met by a long line of walkers who stopped to see a bride in the lakes they cheered and clapped as she stepped out of the 1932 Rolls Royce supplied by Ambleside wedding Cars.

The happy couple married at St. Mary's Rydal...

Cragwood is the most amazing venue!!

Thanks for letting us document your special day have a great honeymoon in Dubai and Mauritius.... I am so jealous!
