Simon & Joanne

On Thursday Armathwaite Hall was the spectacular backdrop for Joanne and Simon's wedding. They met with a small group of around 20 of their closest family and friends and traveled to the Lakes from the West Midlands to be married.

I started photographing the bridal preparations....

These children were great!

Joanne is naturally beautiful...

JOHNNIE & PHILIPPA 15 August 2009

The night before I photograph a wedding I always watch the weather forecast it is just good to know what to expect! A good wedding photographer is always prepared for every possible weather situation, contingency plans are put in place and I pack brollies loads of umbrellas! Last Saturday's forecast was not good, in fact it was terrible. All morning it rained and rained and things weren't looking great on the weather front. However at 4.30pm I was so pleased that the sun came out for Johnnie and Philippa at their wedding in Farlam. Johnnie who is a chef at the Guilded Lily in Carlisle and Philippa a primary school teacher couldn't have been happier with the way their special day unfolded....

I started photographing the bride at her parent's home in Carlisle..

Once again I got a very beautiful bride which makes me very happy!

I just love the expressions on this photograph of Philippa and her father it is so natural. Love it!

The happy couple....

After the wedding at Farlam Church we stopped off at Rickerby Park for some photographs. Silver Lady Cars took us there, another great wedding supplier who I always recommend!

Walking into the sunset together, happily ever after!

I have heard about the fabulous time you are having on the Amalfi coast in Sorrento and the island of Capri, I hope you enjoy watching your slideshow!

STEPHEN & VICTORIA - A perfect summer wedding

Well I am certainly having a run of some amazing weddings at the moment.

Last weekend Dalston Hall was the stunning backdrop for Steve and Vicky's wedding and what a wedding it was! Stephen who is originally from Cumbria returned to marry Victoria with a party of around 80 of their close family and friends. With the sun shining they married outside in the gardens of Dalston Hall under the stunning gazebo. The morning of the wedding was a relaxed and laid back time for Steve and his friends who had a round of golf while the girls were out at the hair salon. After a shower and change the guys were looking great I love this shot that Jesse took of them getting ready and Steve was ready to get wed!

Mean while I was capturing the girls getting ready......

The stunning gazebo at Dalston Hall..

The happy couple..

Wow.... Vicky you look stunning! Vicky's bouquet was by the fabulous lifestyle florist Vandella of Carlisle who also wow me with their floral creations!

What a group, what a setting!!

I love this photograph as it reminds me of what fun the bridal party were... just to set the scene Dalston Hall play music out onto the grounds and it was LOUD and all the bridal party were dancing on the wall including myself I can't help myself sometimes I just have to dance !! Needless to say some of this series of shots were a little out of focus but I managed to keep the camera still and hey this one came out in focus!!

After the family photographs were taken the reception was then well under way and what a reception it was!!

I hear that you are having a wonderful time on the Amalfi coast, Capri, I hope you enjoy watching your slideshow. Thank you for letting us capture and share your special day!

JAMES & HANNAH-Perfect country wedding

Once again the Lake District was the perfect backdrop for James and Hannah's special day when they were married on 1 August in Tirrel.

Hannah who is a teacher and James who is a geologist returned from Manchester to marry in the Lakes. Many of their friends and family including old school friends from Penrith arrived at Barton Church to see them be wed.

I started photographing the wedding at Hannah's parent home a beautiful cottage in Tirrel with period features and beautiful light! Hannah looked amazing in her spanish style dress by Pronovias. Hannah's flowers were by Flowerworld, in Penrith.
Hannah YOU ARE stunning!!

James and his bestmen and ushers were great fun and were suited and booted thanks to Adrian at Edwards in Penrith, (whose wedding I am looking forward to photographing in September!)
Guys you looked great!

After the ceremony we went to a special place that James and Hannah like for some romantic photographs, away from all the guests Jesse and I were able to capture these moments...

The marquee looked stunning and the catering was fab thanks to Juniper Events. Everyone enjoyed the sweet table that had been decorated and given a personal theme.. Hannah must be a great baker too!

I thoroughly enjoyed photographing two of the nicest people.. have a wonderful honeymoon in Cuba!
