I was so happy when I awoke on Saturday to see that the sun was shining - I had it made! Iohna and Craig opted for a civil ceremony just them, and myself and Jesse my assistant were witnesses. With no guests to worry about we shot at two amazing locations close to Gretna Green and we had a fabulous time.
Iohna who is a top class ballet dancer (she performed for Michelle Obama the other week!) with the London Royal Ballet was just an amazing person to photograph, she and her husband laughed all day long and their love for each other has shone through in their photographs. The birds sang, the sun shined and after the shoot Iohna and Craig headed off to the Lake District for a romantic weekend together. Have a great time on your honeymoon in the Maldives and I hope Iohna's parents in Vancouver love the photographs! There are so many beautiful images from this wedding that I found it hard to choose, so to see more of Craig and Iohna see the slideshows page of my website available from 1 MAY.
We started the photo shoot at Smiths in Gretna Green..
Then on to a local ruin for some dramatic photographs..
To end the day we went to a field of rapeseed which was amazing!
The photos are great. I have seen Iohna Loots on YouTube in "The Nutcracker", since the production is apparently not scheduled to play movie theatres in our area. (I live in the U.S.) But I couldn't find the slideshow for this wedding. For others yes, but not for this.

ReplyDeleteThese photos are beautiful...I knew Iohna as a young girl when I worked in her Dad's architectural firm in Johannesburg. She was still at school then.
